The story begins....

This evening I offer you a story, a story of a young boy born in Chile in 1904, who became a poet and was called Pablo Neruda.

And a story of a young boy born in the United States in 1954, who became a performance artist and was called "U".

As the time that U was growing up, Pablo wrote a poem, and now I share that poem with you, first in the original Spanish, and then an English translation.
